Where is the resort located?
We are located at Commewijnestraat 35, Zorg en Hoop, Paramaribo South.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 16:00 and check-out is at 11:00.
Early check-in and late check-out depend on availability and may have additional costs.
What is included in my stay?
All stays include:
• Lagoon pool access (swimming at your own risk)
• Complimentary WiFi
• Continental breakfast
• On-site parking
• Garden surroundings and outdoor lounging areas
Do all rooms have a terrace or balcony?
Yes, every room and suite has a private terrace or balcony with views of the garden or pool.
Can you place a baby crib in the room?
Yes, a baby crib can be placed in any room type on request.
Do you have family rooms?
Yes. Family options include:
• One-Bedroom Suites (max 4 persons)
• Two-Bedroom Suites (max 6 persons)
• Jacuzzi Suite + Junior Suite combined (max 10 persons)
Can I request rooms next to each other or connecting rooms?
Yes. You can request:
• Connecting suites
• Rooms on the same floor
• Rooms side-by-side
Requests depend on availability.
What is the maximum number of guests per room?
- Standard Room: 2
• One-Bedroom Suite: 4
• Two-Bedroom Suite: 6
• Junior Suite: 4
• Jacuzzi Suite: 3 with an extra bed
• Connecting Suites: up to 10
What are the pool hours?
The lagoon pool is open daily from 10:00 to 20:00.
Do you have a children’s area in the pool?
Yes, there is a shallow area suitable for younger guests.
Is the resort non-smoking?
Yes, the entire resort is smoke-free.
A smoking violation results in a fine of USD 250 / EUR 250.
Is there WiFi on the property?
Yes, complimentary WiFi is available in all guest rooms and public areas.
Is parking available?
To reach the parking area, drive down Commewijnestraat all the way to the end.
Just before turning onto Coppenamestraat, you will see a small paved road with a sign that reads “Bestemmingsverkeer Jacana”
Turn into that road and continue straight, you will see the Jacana parking gate and our security guard who will assist you with access.
What are the dining hours?
- Breakfast: 07:00–10:30
• Restaurant & Bar: 10:00–22:00
Can I bring outside food and drinks?
- Hotel guests:Yes, outside food & beverages may be consumed inside your room only.
• Events & meetings: No outside food or drinks may be brought in for any event, banquet, meeting, or celebration.
Do you serve lunch and dinner?
Yes. Our restaurant is open all day with a variety of meals, snacks, and cocktails.
Do you offer Day Passes?
Yes. Day Passes allow access to the lagoon pool, sun chairs, lounge areas, and complimentary refreshments (coffee/tea or infused water).
How do I book a Day Pass?

Are Day Passes refundable?
No, Day Passes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
What payment methods are accepted?
Credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers.
Card payments carry a 5% bank transaction fee.
Are reservations refundable?
No. All reservations at Jacana are non-refundable.
Can I receive credit instead of a refund?
Yes, at management’s discretion, a credit may be issued for:
• A future stay
• Food & beverage
• Spa or on-property purchases
Credits are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash.
Do locals receive special rates?
Yes. Surinamese residents receive a certain percentage discount, take a look at the resort’s social pages for the special promotions.
Can a local book the discounted rate for foreign relatives?
No. All guests in the room must be Surinamese residents with valid ID.
Do you offer seasonal or weekend promotions?
Yes, including Midweek Getaways, Leisure Packages, Family Packages, and weekend specials.
What is your cancellation policy?
All reservations are strictly non-refundable.
Can I modify my reservation?
Modifications are not guaranteed. If changes are possible, credit may be issued instead of a refund.
What happens if I don’t show up?
No-shows are charged 100% of the reservation value.
What if I check out early?
Early departures are non-refundable.
Do you offer airport transfers?
Yes, airport transfers are available on request.
The airport is approximately 45–55 minutes away depending on traffic.
Are visitors allowed?
Visitors are welcome until 22:00.
After this time only registered guests may remain on the property.
Are in-room parties allowed?
No, in-room parties are strictly prohibited.
Does the resort take responsibility for lost or stolen items?
No. Guests must store valuables in the in-room safe.
The resort is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings.
Do you have meeting or event spaces?
Yes, we offer:
• A Boardroom (max 10 persons)
• A Banquet Room (max 100 persons)
• Lounge & Foyer area (max 150 persons)
• Outdoor garden spaces
Do you offer meeting packages?
Yes. Full-day, half-day, and executive boardroom packages are available.
Can I host a private gathering in my room?
Small gatherings (6 persons max) are allowed in certain suites until 22:00.
Events requiring catering must use Jacana’s F&B services.
How do I request special room arrangements?
You may submit a request for:
• Connecting rooms
• Large-group floor blocks
• Family combinations (Jacuzzi + Junior Suite)
• Wedding or event floor requests
