BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Jacana Amazon Wellness Resort
Effective Date: November 30, 2025
This Booking, Payment, and Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) governs all reservations made with Jacana Amazon Wellness Resort (“Jacana,” “the Resort,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By confirming a reservation, the guest (“Guest,” “you,” or “your”) agrees to be bound by all terms and conditions outlined herein.
- General Inclusions
Each confirmed reservation includes the following services:
- Use of the lagoon pool (swimming at your own risk)
- Complimentary WiFi
- Continental breakfast
- On-site parking
- Age Requirement
Guests checking in must be 21 years of age or older.
A valid government-issued identification document is mandatory at check-in.
- Check-In and Check-Out
- Check-in: 16:00
- Check-out: 11:00
Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
- Food & Beverage Service Hours
- Breakfast: 07:00–10:30
- Restaurant & Bar: 08:00–22:00
- Visitor and Room Access Policies
- Room visits are permitted until 22:00 only.
- Non-registered visitors are not permitted on hotel premises beyond this time.
- All visitors must comply with identification and access requirements.
- Jacana reserves the right to deny entry to any visitor at its sole discretion.
- Payment Terms
6.1 Credit and Debit Card Fees
Payments made via credit or debit card are subject to a 5% bank transaction fee.
6.2 Security Deposit
A mandatory refundable security deposit of USD 100 is required at check-in.
Loss, damage, or destruction of hotel property will be deducted from this deposit.
If damages exceed the deposit amount, the Guest is liable for the full cost of repairs or replacement.
- Smoking Policy
Jacana is a strict non-smoking resort.
Smoking in guest rooms or designated non-smoking areas will result in a fine of USD 250 / EUR 250.
- Parties and Noise Control
- In-room parties are strictly prohibited.
- Excessive noise or disturbances are not permitted.
- Violations may result in immediate removal from the property without refund.
- Identification Requirements
All guests must present valid identification upon check-in.
- Surinamese residents: National ID card or driver’s license
- Foreign nationals: Passport or national identity document
The Resort reserves the right to request additional identification where necessary.
- Liability for Valuables
Guests must store valuables in the in-room safe.
Jacana shall not be held liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property left in the room or elsewhere on the premises.
- Cancellation Policy
11.1 Universal Non-Refundable Policy
All reservations made with Jacana are strictly non-refundable.

No refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to:
- Change of plans
- Illness or medical conditions
- Travel disruptions
- No-show or late arrival
- Early departure
- Weather conditions
- Flight cancellations or delays
- Personal, family, or work-related reasons
Guests are responsible for ensuring their travel dates and arrangements are accurate at the time of booking.
11.2 Credit Issuance
While bookings are non-refundable, Jacana may, at its sole discretion, issue credit under approved circumstances.
Credit may be applied to:
- A future stay at Jacana
- Food & Beverage consumption
- On-property purchases
Credit:
- Is not redeemable for cash
- Is non-transferable, unless expressly approved
- Is valid for a specific period stated on the voucher
11.3 No-Shows & Early Departures
- No-shows: Charged at 100% of the reservation value.
- Early departures: Remaining nights are forfeited and non-refundable; credit may be considered only at the discretion of management.
- Resort Liability
Jacana shall not be liable for:
- Injuries resulting from negligence or misuse of facilities
- Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings
- Service disruption due to weather, power outages, acts of nature, or circumstances beyond the Resort’s control
All facilities are used at the Guest’s own risk.
- Acceptance of Terms
By confirming a reservation, the Guest acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with the full terms of this Policy.
Jacana may update or amend these terms at any time. The most current version will always be available on the Resort’s official website.
