Jacana Amazon Wellness Resort

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all reservations, stays, service usage, website access, and interactions with Jacana Amazon Wellness Resort (“Jacana”). By confirming a reservation or utilizing our services, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Reservations and Payment

1.1 Reservation Guarantee

All reservations require a valid credit card or deposit. Failure to provide accurate information may result in cancellation.

1.2 Rates

• Rates are quoted in USD unless otherwise indicated.
• Rates may vary based on room category, occupancy, travel dates, and promotions.
• Promotional or special rates may carry additional restrictions.

1.3 Payment Processing

Payments are processed through authorized third-party providers. Jacana does not retain full credit card details.

2. Check-In and Check-Out

• Check-in time: 4:00 PM
• Check-out time: 11:00 AM
  Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may incur additional charges unless explicitly included in the booking.

Valid identification is required for all guests.

3. Occupancy and Guest Requirements

• Occupancy limits must be respected according to room type (2, 4, or 6 persons).
• Additional beds and baby cribs may be requested and are subject to availability.
• For Local Resident offers, all registered occupants must be Surinamese residents. Residents may not book local rates for non-resident guests.
• The resort reserves the right to request proof of residency for local rates.

4. Cancellation, Modification, and No-Show

Cancellation and modification terms are defined by the selected rate plan and will be displayed at the time of booking.

• Non-refundable rates: full charge applies.
• Flexible rates: cancellation or modification permitted within stated deadlines.
• No-shows: may be charged the full stay amount.
• Early departures: may incur full or partial charges.

5. Day Pass Terms

• Day Passes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Entry is permitted only upon presentation of a valid confirmation pass.
• The 5% Food & Beverage discount applies exclusively to registered Day Pass holders.
• Capacity limits may apply during high occupancy periods.

6. Connected Rooms and Special Requests

Requests for:

• Connected suites (Jacuzzi Suite + Junior Suite),
• Rooms on the same floor, or
• Adjacent rooms

will be honored subject to availability. Jacana does not guarantee specific room numbers or configurations.

7. Use of Facilities

Guests must comply with all posted rules and staff instructions when using Jacana facilities, including:

• Lagoon pool
• Jacuzzi
• Gardens and walkways
• Event and meeting spaces

Children must be supervised at all times.
Outside food and alcohol are prohibited unless expressly authorized.

8. Events and Meeting Bookings

Event bookings require:

• A signed agreement,
• Applicable deposits, and
• Compliance with all venue-specific regulations.

Adjustments to event requirements must be made in writing.

9. Damage, Loss, and Conduct

Guests are financially responsible for:

• Damage to rooms, furnishings, or resort property
• Loss of fixtures or amenities
• Excessive cleaning fees if required

Jacana may refuse service or evict guests without refund for conduct deemed disruptive, unsafe, or unlawful.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jacana shall not be liable for:

• Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings
• Injuries incurred through facility misuse or negligence by the guest
• Service disruptions resulting from third parties or force majeure events

Guests are encouraged to use in-room safes.

11. Website and Digital Use

• All website content is the property of Jacana and may not be copied without permission.
• Users may not misuse booking systems or submit false information.
• External links are provided for convenience and do not constitute endorsement.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Suriname. Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of Surinamese courts.
